ROCKY MOUNTAINEER FEATURES IN CHANNEL 5’S NEW PRIMETIME SERIES ‘THE WORLD’S MOST SCENIC RAILWAY JOURNEYS’

The episode will air on Channel 5 on 25th October at 8pm

Throughout the six-part series viewers can enter a competition to win a 2020 trip on Rocky Mountaineer

Channel 5’s new six-part series, ‘The World’s Most Scenic Railway Journeys’, boards Rocky Mountaineer on 25th October at 8pm. Rocky Mountaineer is a luxury tourist train that travels between Vancouver and the Canadian Rocky Mountain towns of Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper. Rocky Mountaineer is the only passenger train to travel these routes, giving unique access to the rugged landscape of the Canadian Rockies.

The episode will give viewers a glimpse of the First Passage to the West route, Rocky Mountaineer’s most popular route, which travels from lush rainforests of Vancouver; through a semi-arid desert of Kamloops; and into the Rocky Mountains, finishing at the national park towns of Lake Louise and Banff. The train winds through tunnels and canyons, alongside rivers, and around mountain peaks. Viewers will learn about the history and engineering feats of the railway line that united the country more than 130 years ago.

One lucky viewer will win the chance to experience the journey for themselves and a guest, by entering a competition that will run until midday 23rd January 2020. More information on how to enter to win the trip of a lifetime on Rocky Mountaineer will be available during each episode of the series and on the Channel 5 website www.channel5.com/win .
