Party-Weary Gen Z Are Ditching the Festival Campsite for Cushy Hotel Rooms and Aircon Over two-fifths of Gen Z (41%) have packed up and left a festival early to avoid sleeping in a tent
More than half of young people (52%) survive on less than four hours of sleep a night when camping and are suffering from ‘tent fatigue’
Wellbeing-obsessed Gen Z value a good night's sleep over clean toilets, showers and phone charging
Sleep-conscious Gen Z are swapping muddy tents for fresh sheets, with almost a third (30%) opting to check into a nearby hotel rather than rough it and camp after a festival.

With festival season in full swing, easyHotel has revealed that young people are turning their back on rustic camping and late-night raves for a more comfortable sleep experience.
New research from easyHotel, the great-value hotel brand, has revealed that over four in ten (41%) young people have left a festival early simply because they do not want to camp in a tent.
The nation's young music lovers say lack of rest ruins the festival experience, with over half of Gen Z (52%) getting less than four hours of sleep a night.
As a result, 45% of young Brits rank campsite exhaustion as the worst part of their festival experience.
For Gen Z, wellbeing comes first. Feeling rested after a good night’s sleep is proving more important than even basic hygiene and staying connected.
Poor-quality sleep ranks as a bigger camping frustration than the infamous festival dirty toilets (27%), limited shower access (37%) and even being unable to charge their phone (6%).
Wellbeing-conscious Gen Z are looking for alternatives to ‘tent fatigue’, as more than a quarter (27%) say a proper, comfortable bed is the most valuable thing they could have after a day of live music.

During the summer that heatwaves gripped the nation, almost half (44%) of young people say air conditioning would be the most valuable hotel feature during a festival - putting staying cool firmly near the top of their wish list.
easyHotel is offering an affordable alternative to ‘tent fatigue’, giving music lovers a comfortable bed - and other Gen Z essentials such as hot shower and phone charging - nearby to recharge before heading back to the main stage.
As standard, easyHotel offers their ‘core comforts’ in all hotel rooms - quality mattresses, blackout curtains, quiet rooms, air‑conditioning and free Wi‑Fi.
Nathan White, UK operations director at easyHotel, said: "While previous generations wore sleep deprivation like a badge of honour, today’s festivalgoers are putting wellbeing first.
“Gen Z have officially had enough of ‘tent fatigue’ - they want the festival fun without sacrificing a decent night’s sleep.
“A comfortable, great-value room in the heart of key UK locations is all Gen Z need and easyHotel gives them the best of both worlds: close to the music, but far away from the muddy sleeping bag.”
With festival season in full swing, easyHotel is offering festivalgoers the chance to swap noisy tents for comfortable, great-value rooms.
